Christmas is Coming!

The Creation of the 2009 Santa is in PROGRESS!

Each Santa was different, but they all had glasses that frosted over because of Santa's wild Christmas Eve ride delivering presents through a stormy Christmas Evening and Christmas Morning. Although his glasses were all frosted over he was still going strong and he was already looking forward to the next year.

The 2008 Santa Ornament was inspired by the words from

The Night Before Christmas which reads,

"A stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth…"

Each Santa had a pipe and they were all different.

Second one was a Child Santa! No!

Third one was a Mrs. Santa! No!

Time is running out!

I keep thinking about a Mrs. Santa Claus for the 2009 Santa.
Perhaps it could be the "Welcome Home" theme,
with Mrs. Santa Welcoming home Santa Claus!

That would take too much time.

Doing 50 Santa's like this?

Naw!

Oh! My! I have an order for 50 Santa's!
What will the 2009 Santa be?

WINKING SANTA

A decision must be made.

What is the theme for the 2009 Santa?

A Winking Santa?

Santa is winking but some work needs to be done.

Well, sometimes a wood carver just has to do . . .

. . . what a woodcarver has to do.

This woodcarver had not carved a winking Santa before.

When you wink, what does it do to your face?

To your eye brows?

To your cheeks?
To your smile?

To your mustache?

To your winking eye?

Nothing else to do, but to see for myself - on myself.

Too many variables!
I decided to put the Winking Santa idea aside.

CHILD SANTA

How about a child Santa

with a

beard tied to the side of his cap?

That isn't a "True Santa"! Another idea tossed.

HOW ABOUT A MRS. SANTA CLAUS?

I thought maybe a Mrs. Santa Claus would be a good one this year.

OOOPPSSSSSS!

Carving a Mrs. isn't my cup of tea.

My wife told me that my carving is great,

but NOT a Mrs. Santa Claus.

She thought my finished product looked like a man.

I guess she does not have delicate features, does she?

No!

The 2009 Santa will NOT be a

Mrs. Santa Claus.
