BARK CARVING WITH KANSAS AND NORTH DAKOTA BARK

Can you guess which is Kansas and which is North Dakota bark?

A while back a friend gave me some North Dakota Gold Cottonwood bark. I love the stuff. While carving the beard on a wood spirit made from it, I heard a curious little "plink" sound. A little later I noticed that, probably in holding it, I had broken off the nose. Have you ever tried to find a nose amongst bark wood chips? The only thing I felt left to do was to replace the nose with.....wait for it,.....Kansas bark. Here dear friends is the difference between North Dakota Gold bark and the Kansas Prairie Cottonwood bark.
